Notes

Using that above figures it can be seen that a minimum pack weight is about 14kg. One liter of water adds one kilo as does each day of food. So with 1L of water plus 2-3 days food the average pack weight could be about 17kg. When it is necessary to carry skis and boots this increases by 8 kg giving a maximum weight carried of about 25kg
