This was my 18th season working in Antarctica and my 16th working for ALE. In most previous years I have worked for the full 3 month Antarctic season from the start of November to the end of January. This year I joined the staff team for the final 2 months of the season. Once again I had a mix of duties combining work at the main Union Glacier camp with trips to Mt Vinson and the South Pole.

I spent the first week of my season guiding a private client on ski trips close to  Union Glacier camp. I then travelled to Mt Vinson for the V3 rotation where I led a group of 3 climbers from Korea. Conditions on the mountain were good and we all reached the summit on Christmas day. This was my 24th ascent of the peak.

I then flew to the South Pole to support a customer working on a charity fundraising project. I spent the final weeks of the season on a mix of local area guiding duties close to Union Glacier camp and customer service tasks.
