Notes

Using that above figures it can be seen that a minimum pack weight is about 12-13kg. One liter of water adds one kilo as does each day of food. So with 1L of water plus 3-4 days food the average pack weight could be about 16-18kg. When it is necessary to carry skis and boots this increases by 8 kg giving a maximum weight carried of about 25kg
